Crystal Palace were unable to replicate the kind of performance that saw them ease past Burnley at the weekend as they suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of their biggest rivals, Brighton, on Tuesday night.
James McArthur and co can feel agrieved after Kevin Friend wrongly awarded a penalty early on which was duly converted by Glenn Murray, but were given a golden opportunity to fight back after Seagulls centre-back Shane Duffy was dismissed for a head-butt on Patrick van Aanholt.
However, despite having a numerical advantage on the pitch for much of the game, the Selhurst Park outfit were unable to capitalise or prevent their opponents from tripling their lead as Chris Hughton’s men made it three without reply.
Luka Milivojevic netted a consolation spot-kick in the late stages but that did little to pacify Palace fans on Twitter who were incensed by their side’s shoddy showing.
Many feel that Roy Hodgson’s tenure should be cut short as the Eagles now sit just three points above bottom side Fulham – you can find the best of the reaction below.
Honestly, this season is currently the most disappointed I’ve been as a Palace fan in a long time. In terms of where we are in comparison to where we actually should be. Amateur

I hope Hodgson is gone by this time tomorrow. Sacked or resign, I don’t care, just get him out of the club.
And it’s not a vendetta, I like the bloke and am thankful of what he did last season, but this can’t carry on.

It better happen. I respect roy and love him for everything he’s done. But his time’s over now. We need a manager with ambition. Roy has NONE.

Geez it’s a hard slog being a Palace fan. saved our worst half of football for when we’re away against our biggest rivals WHO ARE PLAYING WITH 10 MEN! 😡😩 time for some mass changes I think #HodgsonOut #DefinitelyNotGladAllOver #CPFC #BHACRY
