EVANSTON, Ill. – Jordan Hamilton posted a season high 20 points, shooting 4 for 7 from the 3-point line against No. 20 DePaul Wednesday night. The junior also pulled down four rebounds while dishing out five assists.
The Wildcats (5-2) shot 78 percent in the first quarter for 32 points. It is the most any Northwestern women’s basketball team has scored in a first quarter. Despite taking the lead twice and tying the score on three different occasions, Northwestern fell short to the Blue Demons 76-60, Wednesday night in McGrath-Phillips Arena.
Lindsey Pulliam continued her streak of double-digit scoring with 13 points and added four rebounds.
Both Abbie Wolf and Byrdy Galernik put up eight points for the ‘Cats. Wolf set a career high in rebounds with 11. Senior Abi Scheid returned to the floor scoring seven points to go with her six rebounds.
Northwestern’s defense forced 13 turnovers and held No. 20 DePaul to just 41 percent from the floor.
The #B1GCats will return home to Welsh-Ryan Arena to battle No. 16 Marquette Sunday, Dec. 9, for Autism Awareness Day. Tip off for that game is set for 1 pm on the Big Ten Network.
