The Indianapolis Colts currently signed cost-free agent tight finish Brandon Williams and placed tight finish Erik Swoope on the Injured Reserve List.
The group also signed the following 3 players to the practice squad: wide receiver Krishawn Hogan, nose tackle Joey Mbu and tackle Andrew Wylie.
Williams, six-three, 260 pounds, initially signed with Indianapolis as an unrestricted cost-free agent on March 20, 2017. He has played in 45 profession games (a single get started) with the Seattle Seahawks (2016), Miami Dolphins (2015) and Carolina Panthers (2013-15). Williams has caught six passes for 80 yards.
Swoope, six-five, 258 pounds, has played in 17 profession games (4 begins) with Indianapolis more than the final 3 seasons (2014-16) and has totaled 15 receptions for 297 yards and a single touchdown. In 2016, he played in all 16 games (4 begins) for the initial time in his profession and caught 15 passes for 297 yards and a single touchdown. Swoope played in a single game for the Colts in 2015 and also spent time on the team’s practice squad. As a rookie in 2014, he spent the whole season on the team’s practice squad.
Hogan, six-three, 222 pounds, was waived by the Arizona Cardinals on September two. The Indianapolis native initially signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted cost-free agent on May perhaps two, 2017 out of Marian University. He participated in the Colts 2017 Nearby Pro Day on April 12.
Collegiately, Hogan played in 40 games at Marian and completed with 263 receptions for four,395 yards (16.7 avg.) and 42 touchdowns. He also threw a single touchdown and registered 63 carries for 170 yards and 25 touchdowns. Hogan established college records in getting yards and getting touchdowns. He ranks second in college history in all-goal yards (four,565) and scoring (402). Hogan’s 263 profession receptions are the seventh-most in NAIA history. As a senior in 2016, he caught 80 passes for 1,435 yards and 15 touchdowns en route to earning All-Mid-States Football Association Offensive Player of the Year honors as effectively as Initially Group All-MSFA recognition. He also threw a single touchdown and compiled 23 carries for 43 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Mbu, six-three, 323 pounds, was waived by the Washington Redskins on September two. He has played in two profession games in his time with the Redskins (2016) and Atlanta Falcons (2015-16) and totaled 4 tackles (a single solo).
In 2016, Mbu spent time on Washington and Atlanta’s practice squads. As a rookie in 2015, he spent most of the season on the Falcons’ practice squad ahead of getting signed to the team’s active roster for the final 4 weeks of the typical season. Mbu saw action in two games and registered 4 tackles (a single solo).
Wylie, six-six, 309 pounds, was signed by the Colts as an undrafted cost-free agent on May perhaps 15, 2017. He participated in the team’s 2017 offseason plan and instruction camp ahead of getting waived in the course of final cuts on September two. Wylie began 46-of-47 profession games at Eastern Michigan. His 46 begins rank fourth all-time in college history though his 47 appearances are tied for 12th all-time. In 2016, Wylie began all 13 games at suitable tackle and earned Third Group All-MAC honors.
