— Frank Gore continues to impress. He had very good burst on a 15-yard touchdown run.

— Xavien Howard had a good pass breakup to protect against what would’ve been a 40-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Tannehill to Kenny Stills.

— Defensive tackle Jordan Phillips had a productive day and repeatedly got into the backfield.

— Red zone function at the finish of practice was a train wreck. Kenyan Drake fumbled away a handoff, and Tannehill threw a choose-six to Kiko Alonso.

— Tannehill took a modest hit from Cameron Wake and seemed to bounce back from it just fine.
