Roseanne Barr, who lost her ABC sitcom “Roseanne” final year more than a tweet that was broadly regarded as racist, is pointing the finger at 1 of that show’s cast members for destroying her profession.

In an in-depth piece on Barr published this week, The Washington Post reports that Barr blames Sara Gilbert for her downfall. The concentrate of Barr’s resentment is a tweet Gilbert sent out even though the controversy more than Barr’s tweet was raging — and just ahead of ABC pulled the plug on “Roseanne.”

The Post reports that Barr “can’t forgive Gilbert. On Might 29, 27 minutes ahead of ABC announced the cancellation, Gilbert tweeted that Barr’s comments have been ‘abhorrent and do not reflect the beliefs of our cast and crew or everyone linked with our show.’”

Barr is quoted by The Post saying of Gilbert: “She destroyed the show and my life with that tweet. She will under no circumstances get sufficient till she consumes my liver with a fine Chianti.”

The Post adds: “Gilbert, in a short interview with The Post about Barr, stated that ‘while I’m particularly disappointed and heartbroken more than the dissolution of the original show, she will normally be loved ones, and I will normally really like Roseanne.’”
