Manchester United have been linked with a move for Saint-Etienne centre-back William Saliba, according to French football magazine Le 10 Sport.

The 18-year-old has impressed in the 13 appearances he’s produced this term in a breakthrough season.

Ten of these matches have come in Ligue 1 with seven in the beginning XI and the other 3 as a substitute.

Valued at about £25million by the European chasers, it is reported that the Red Devils have been tracking the very-rated teenager and are in pole position to open talks.

It is claimed that Saint-Etienne  wouldn’t be against carrying out a deal but that they’d like to have their starlet back on loan for the 2019/20 season.

United have been linked with an array of centre-backs in current weeks as they aim to strengthen their backline in the summer time.

Also capable of playing at appropriate-back, Saliba has represented France from the Below-16s to Below-19s.
