With an emphatic return, Maxo Kream delivers his newest album titled Brandon Banks. The riveting 15 track project is an intro and retrospective providing as it is layered with lyricism and story-telling. Maxo has recruited a sturdy supporting cast with Travis Scott, A$AP Ferg, Schoolboy Q, and a hyperlink up with Megan Thee Stallion for a hometown anthem. Maxo is also accompanied by his blood brother, KCG Josh, on a fittingly titled track, “Brothers”. Maxo regularly glides on the many velvety instrumentals as his approaches with words are genuinely enticing. There are elements in the project that all hip-hop fans can appreciate no matter what time period they are from and that is the beauty of Brandon Banks.

As intriguing as the options are on the album, Maxo undeniably shined in all of his singles. On “Brenda” and “Dairy Ashford Bastard” Maxo unwinds detailed accounts from his life and persons about him with such striking mannerism. “Drizzy Draco” and “Spice Ln.” are a couple of my private favorites off of the project as Maxo showcases his peppy and beefy flow. Riddled with bars and flashbacks intertwined, this project is surely a single of my favorites this year. Thinking about Maxo is only finding began more than at RCA, I appear forward to what his future holds as he is evidently a unique talent.

Delight in Brandon Banks under.
