Liam Gallagher Shares Lyric Video for New Song “Once”
Why Me? Why Not. Due Out September 20 by way of Warner Records
Jul 26, 2019
Former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher is releasing his second solo album, Why Me? Why Not., on September 20 by way of Warner Records. Now he has shared a further song from it, the string-backed “As soon as,” by way of a lyric video for the track. “You only get to do it after,” Gallagher sings, referring to living your life presumably. Watch it under followed by Gallagher’s upcoming tour dates.
Previously Gallagher shared the album’s initially single, “Shockwave.” Then there was a video for “Shockwave” that was filmed in America’s Deep South and begins with Gallagher burning down a home and ends with him crashing a protest march, with the protest indicators featuring the lyrics from the song. Then he shared a video for a further song from the album, “The River” (which was one particular of our Songs of the Week).
Gallagher released his debut solo album, As You Had been, in 2017 by way of Warner. He’s also the topic of a new documentary, As It Was, which charts Gallagher’s difficult journey from the breakup of Oasis to a thriving solo profession. It not too long ago premiered in the UK and is due out later this year in America (the precise date TBA). Watch the trailer right here.
Why Me? Why Not. was recorded in Los Angeles and London and was co-written by Gallagher with producers Andrew Wyatt and Greg Kurstin, who also worked on As You Had been but have been even far more involved this time.
“I wrote some songs on my personal for the final album, but this time it really is all co-writes,” Gallagher explains in a press release. “Explanation becoming is I want it to be even greater than As You Had been. I know my strengths and I know my limitations. I am an ok songwriter, but I am a good singer and frontman. I want the second album to be a step-up for the reason that the hardest point to do is to make one thing the very same, only greater. So that is what we’ve performed.”
Gallagher had this to say about “Shockwave” in a preceding press release: “I am buzzing. Buzzing to be alive, buzzing to be creating tunes, raring to go. It is good to be back with some new music for the reason that it implies I can get out there, play some gigs and give some folks some stick for the reason that that is what I do. Let’s face it, it really is boring devoid of me.”
Of Why Me? Why Not., Gallagher boasted in the preceding press release: “It is a greater record than As You Had been, which is saying one thing, as that was epic, wasn’t it?”
