Prince when curved Nas, but the rapper took it as a life lesson. Whilst on Noreaga’s Drink Champ’s podcast, the Illmatic rapper detailed how the late artist passed on collaborating with him due to the fact he didn’t personal his masters.

It turned out Prince showed up at Nas’ I Am… album release celebration and he figured it was his chance to make a song with the Purple One particular.

“I sought him due to the fact he came to my ‘I Am . . .’ release celebration,” Nas recalled to NORE. “I stated, ‘Yo, appear, man, let’s do this. Let’s do this song.’ And he was like, ‘Do you personal your masters?’ But he blew my sh*t due to the fact I was like, ‘I do not. And I’m far from it, due to the fact I owe this label like 4, 5 albums’. . . I was like, ‘Damn.’”

Prince told Nas to give him a contact soon after he handled his company, but sadly a collab didn’t manifest prior to his untimely passing.

Added Nas, “He sort of helped me see the future.”
