Kyle and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson shared a hilarious story on breakfast radio this morning that involved a celebrity radio stunt that went awry.
Henderson explained the incident almost resulted in the radio duo getting arrested while they were in Los Angeles a few years back.
“We were doing a star maps tour and we were seeing if we could knock on people’s homes and be let in by saying, ‘We’re here for an interview’,” Henderson said.
“Nobody believed us, except for Jane Seymour.”
The Dr. Quinn star allowed Henderson into her house, but it wasn’t long before she grew wary of their intentions for being there.
“She goes, ‘I don’t know anything about this’,” Henderson said. “She starts making calls in front of us and then she starts getting angry and realising we’re lying. She’s furious.”
Sandilands was waiting at the front of the property, and suddenly got a stream of messages from Henderson: “She’s onto us! She’s gonna ring the police!”
Sandilands immediately replied, telling Henderson to get out of the house.
“I just remember you getting back in the car and you were very angry,” Sandilands recalled.
“I almost got arrested,” Henderson said. “I don’t know what we were thinking.”
Sandilands and Henderson are no strangers to pushing the boundaries and creating controversial moments on air.
In April, the radio duo were ‘dumped’ on air over a discussion that Richie Strahan and Alex Nation had on Bachelor in Paradise.
Sandilands and Henderson were cut off as they attempted to unpack a vague conversation that occurred between the exes.
“The station you’ve been listening to has been dumped,” a voice said, interrupting the broadcast. “This means someone has said something inappropriate and is getting in trouble. The broadcast will return in seconds.”
