Music legend Finbar Furey has shared the heartbreaking story of missing his final opportunity to see and speak to his superior pal, the late Brendan Grace.
The singer was close to the Dublin comedian, who sadly passed away final month following a quick battle with cancer.
“I couldn’t think it. I’d missed seeing him, which broke my heart a bit,” Finbar told The Irish Mirror.
“We had been prepared to go and then I just got the news that Brendan had died. I got a telephone get in touch with from (Brendan’s son-in-law) Frankie Gillespie to inform me. And I stated, ‘Ah dear’

Following his death, Brendan’s daughter Melanie shared an emotional tribute to her father.
“It was extraordinary getting his daughter,” Melanie told Joe Duffy on LiveLine.
