Barcelona’s pursuit of Neymar is at a standstill, according to Paris St Germain sporting director Leonardo.

The Brazil forward’s extensively anticipated summer season return to Spain has not however materialised, and whilst Leonardo admitted there had been talks involving sides, there has been no progress.

Neymar has attracted interest from former club Barca, who he left in 2017 to join PSG in the world’s most high priced transfer of 222 million euros (£202million), and also Actual Madrid.

“There are negotiations with clubs, as every person knows,” Leonardo told RMC Sport.

“But nothing at all has sophisticated.”

Neymar has been recovering from a foot injury which saw him miss the finish of final season.

The forward broke the fifth metatarsal in his ideal foot but Leonardo mentioned he is now totally healed.

“It’s straightforward. The healthcare group and the most effective surgeons in the globe have been searching following Neymar from the begin of the season,” the 49-year-old mentioned.

“The fracture to the fifth metatarsal has healed. Neymar’s injury is absolutely fixed.”
