Rock Property Youngsters warns of door-to-door donation scam

ROCKFORD (WREX) — Rock Property Youngsters is issuing a warning about a scam going about the Rockford region.

The non-profit says young individuals have been knocking on doors asking for donations but Rock Property Youngsters says it does not encourage everyone it serves, specially youngsters, to knock on doors for monetary donations.

“We’re really disturbed to hear that young individuals had been going door to door and soliciting for funds to enable Rock Property Youngsters,” said Rock Property Youngsters Executive Director Deanna “Dee” Lacny. “We absolutely would not encourage everyone to do this specially the youngsters we serve. We are right here to get children off the streets not place them on the streets.”
