American Idol season eight alum Adam Lambert has announced the release date and track listing of his upcoming EP Velvet: Side A. The ep will consist of six brand new songs, which includes “Superpower” which will drop on September four.

Previously, Adam has released “Feel Some thing,” “New Eyes” and “Comin in Hot.” In earlier interviews, Adam stated that he would release Velvet in components. So probably the currently released songs will be tracks on future sets. Or possibly Adam was merely whetting fans appetite for a lot more to come.

In a current interview with Studio 10 in Australia, Adam outlined the uncommon release schedule for Velvet. “I’m carrying out a thing a bit untraditional and I’m going to release this album in two halves,” Adam explained. “Side A of Velvet comes out in September…and Side B will come later.” He added, “It’s just a new way of carrying out issues. A way to…extend the entire practical experience.”


The EP is Adam’s very first considering the fact that releasing The Original Higher 4 years ago.

Presently, Adam is touring North America as the frontman for Queen. The band is set to headline the Worldwide Citizens Festival on September 28.
