Legendary music composer Mohammed Zahur ‘Khayyam’ Hashmi passed away yesterday. He left for heavenly abode soon after suffering from a prolonged illness. Khayyam Saab was 92 and he breathed his final at Sujoy Hospital, 9:30 pm, on Monday. On July 28, he was hospitalized due to lung infection and yesterday evening, his heart failed. The 92-year-old has worked on some memorable Bollywood songs which involve Umrao Jaan, Shola Aur Shabnam, Aakhri Raat, Kabhi Kabhie, Trishul, Khandaan, Noorie, Dard, Bazaar, amongst several other folks. Khayyam Saab’ demise came as a shock to several from the entertainment market as he was the finest gem of Hindi cinema.
