Manchester United and Arsenal displaying interest as Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier does not rule out a January transfer, according to RTBF.

The Belgium international defender, has not ruled out a move away from the French capital, as speculation grows about a feasible move in January.

Meunier’s PSG contract expires subsequent summer time, leaving the Ligue 1 club in a precarious position, if the versatile defender chooses not to place pen to paper on a new deal.

Emery will have to battle with Man United’s Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to sign Meunier.

Premier League duo Manchester United and Arsenal had been mentioned to be interested in the player in the course of the summer time, who is not finding the game time he would like.

Speaking to RTBF he mentioned: “It was an intense period, with a lot of interest and discussion.”

Adding: “I could have left but it was not carried out simply because there was practically nothing that suited the club or myself. Absolutely nothing was 100 per cent for it to operate.

“I have often mentioned that I wanted to remain in Paris. I nevertheless have 1 year on my contract and I nevertheless hope an extension can be secured. 

‘The scenario is a small additional complex simply because I am no longer the preferred option in my position, but I stay qualified.”
