Injury update for Everton prior to Bournemouth
Everton boss Marco Silva has offered an injury update on summer season signing Jean-Philippe Gbamin ahead of their clash with Bournemouth.
The Toffees signed a plethora of players for the duration of the summer season transfer window.
Alex Iwobi, Fabian Delph, Moise Kean and Jean-Philippe Gbamin have been the most notable names on Everton’s purchasing list.
Though Iwobi, Delph and Kean are now solidifying their locations in the group, Gbamin will have to wait.
In spite of beginning the season quite decently, the Frenchman suffered an injury in the clash with Watford.
Everton revealed at the finish of August that Gbamin had suffered a tendon injury which could preserve him out for at least eight weeks.
Now, ahead of Everton’s clash with Bournemouth this weekend, Marco Silva has supplied an update on Gbamin’s return to fitness.
“It’s also early to say when Gbamin will be available”
Speaking in his pre-Bournemouth press conference, Silva explained that the club are attempting to get him study ‘as rapid we can’ but it is also early to place a date on his return.
“It’s also early to say when Gbamin will be offered,” Silva explained, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.
“He’s on his way to recovery and what we’ll do as a club and our healthcare employees will attempt to get him prepared as rapid as we can but the most significant issue for me is when he can be prepared to train tough once more and get his location in the group.”
If Gbamin’s injury keeps him out for about eight weeks, which Everton’s original statement recommended, he could be in line to face West Ham on October 19th.
