Kelvin Fletcher has been forced to pull out of Dancing on Ice soon after he was referred to as up to replace Jamie Laing on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
The Emmerdale star was reportedly approached by ITV bosses to seem on Dancing on Ice – which returns in January – soon after impressing bosses with videos of him skating.
But, with Jamie Laing forced to pull out of Strictly Come Dancing due to an injury, Kelvin was announced as his replacement and will dance with Oti Mabuse as the show gets underway tonight.
According to The Sun, that left Dancing on Ice bosses with a gap to fill and Ben Hanlin – magician and host of Tricked – has stepped in.
An insider told them: “Ben is totally thrilled since this is his largest break in Television and marks a massive showbiz comeback for him.

“He fronted 3 series of ITV2’s Tricked but he hasn’t been on telly for a even though now. To say he’s excited is an understatement. He cannot wait to bring some magic to the show.”
Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield are set to front the show after much more and other names rumoured to be joining the line-up incorporate Actions star Ian ‘H’ Watkins and Really like Island’s Maura Higgins.
Kelvin – who played Emmerdale’s Andy Sugden for 20 years – mentioned it is a “dream come true” to be performing Strictly.
The 35-year-old mentioned: “Hey guys, just believed I’d say how just totally I’m overwhelmed by the response I’ve been getting so far. I cannot think it, it is a dream come correct.

“Those who know me, soon after a handful of beers, I enjoy music and I enjoy to dance, but that does not imply I’ll be any superior!
“Once you place choreography and a handful of dance moves, who knows?”
But he didn’t ignore the truth his spot on the show was due to bittersweet situations.
Reaching out to Created in Chelsea star Jamie, he added: “I cannot assistance but really feel for him. Jamie, if you are watching this, I want you all the most effective with your recovery. I’m sorry it is in these situations.”
Strictly returns tonight at 7pm on BBC 1.
