Gareth Southgate has insisted he remains committed to his part with England amid rumoured Premier League interest.

The former Middlesbrough manager was linked to Tottenham in a current report as the issues began to pile up for incumbent Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Tottenham, who completed a miserable week with a three- loss to Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday, have been stated to be sizing up Southgate as a possible successor to Pochettino in the occasion of his exit.

Reports in January claimed Manchester United – then on the hunt for a permanent replacement for Jose Mourinho – had similarly shown interest in the man who guided England to a fourth-spot finish at final year’s Planet Cup.

But any club keen on his solutions will have a challenging time convincing the 49-year-old to quit the national group ahead of Qatar 2022.

“I’ve stated in the summer season I’m not somebody that wants to retain this door open or that door open,” Southgate stated.

“I’m the England manager and it is a enormous privilege to do the job. There’s a lot of perform to do right here with the group.

“We assume the group can continue to enhance and, till I’m told otherwise, 2022 is my contract and that is it.”

Southgate is preparing to lead England into a pair of Euro 2020 qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Bulgaria.

The 3 Lions eased to a four- win more than the latter final month and boast a best record atop Group A just after 4 games.
