Charlamagne Interviews the Cast of Throwback Sitcom, Girlfriends

If you are familiar with Energy 105.1 The Breakfast Club, then you currently know Charlamagne Tha God is a big fan of the iconic show, Girlfriends. Just about just about every Black lady in the globe favors the trailblazing show as it was the great representation for the ambitious African-American lady. The cast of Girlfriends: Joan, Maya, Toni, and Lynn was a great blend of diverse personalities, types, and professions.

Right now, Charlamagne got the possibility to interview Tracee Ellis Ross, Golden Brooks, Persia White, and Jill Marie Jones as they return on set for this week’s reunion episode for ABC’s Black-Ish. They discussed character evaluation, what it was like to be reunited, and even revealed the true cause why Jill Marie left the show.

The comedy-drama sitcom was designed by Mara Brock Akil, who is genius at storytelling and film-producing. When asked if there will ever be a film, Mara claimed that she would, but beneath one particular circumstance: larger spending budget. In other words, the sitcom would deserve a film as profitable as Sex In The City.

The substantially-deserved reunion on Blackish premiered on Tuesday, October 8th and we are just as excited as they have been in this video:

Let us all pray for a Girlfriends reboot!
