Actress Leah Bracknell has sadly died at the age of 55 soon after losing her brave battle against lung cancer.

The Emmerdale star, who played Zoe Tate in Emmerdale for much more than 16 years was diagnosed with the terminal illness 3 years ago.

Nowadays her manager announced the news. In a statement they stated: “It is with the deepest sadness that Leah Bracknell’s family members confirm that Leah has passed away in September.

“They would like to thank all the public for their assistance and generosity which contributed to the extension and good quality of her life more than the final 3 years.

“Leah continued to embrace life and faced her illness with positivity. She had an power and enthusiasm for life, a type heart and a great deal like to give these about her.

“Her family members have asked for privacy at this quite sad time.”

As effectively as becoming a household name for her function in Emmerdale, Leah also appeared in Judge John Deed, A Touch of Frost, The Royal Nowadays and DCI Banks.
