The Jets’ offensive line is seemingly holding on by a thread.
Left guard Alex Lewis did not participate in practice and was listed with a neck injury on the injury report Friday. That comes when Kelechi Osemele is in a dispute with the group with regards to regardless of whether he desires shoulder surgery, leaving a hefty gap on the left side of the O-line.
There had been no instant updates with specifics on Lewis’ injury.

“He’s much more sore correct now,” coach Adam Gase mentioned of Kalil just before practice Friday. “We’re just going by way of the process we have to go by way of with the education employees. Right now he can not go, so we’ll see what tomorrow brings. And see how he feels as the rest of the week goes on.”
The Jets (1-four) will have prepare for New England, who has the No. 1 ranked defense in the NFL, with scarce selections to guard lately recovered quarterback Sam Darnold. Backup center Jonotthan Harrison most likely will begin if Kalil is unable to take the field.

Gase mentioned he’s hunting forward to the imminent return of linebacker C.J. Mosley, who declared Thursday he would play Monday, right after becoming sidelined for the previous 4 games with a groin injury.
“I appreciate the truth that he’s prepared to go,” Gase mentioned just before practice, in which Mosley participated in group drills for the 1st time considering that his injury. “It’s like obtaining your quarterback back on defense.”
The 27-year-old linebacker was restricted to person drills Thursday right after Gase characterized him as day-to-day. Mosley practiced with the group Friday, although he was restricted.
“I believe he was a small irritated that we didn’t let him do group drills [Thursday], but that was the strategy going in,” Gase mentioned. “He looked superior in folks, he was operating about a lot on his on the side. He’s as superior of a pro as you can — you watch what he does when the defense is out there and he’s standing and how he’s paying focus, listening to the calls and items like that.
“The guy mentally is prepared, it is just all about conditioning and generating certain that he’s superior. Generating certain the volume that we give him [Friday] and [Saturday] is the correct quantity, we just got to retain checking boxes.”
Mosley, who left the Ravens this previous offseason to sign a 5-year deal with the Jets, served as the team’s defensive signal caller for the season-opening loss to the Bills just before exiting in the third quarter. Gase considers Mosley’s return to be “a major deal for us.”
