Rumours have begun to circulate that Kim Jong-un maybe expecting another child after his wife disappeared from the public eye.
The North Korean dictator is already suggested to have three children – including a girl as revealed by ex-NBA star and friend Dennis Rodman.
But claims a fourth could be on the way have reportedly emerged in South Korea due to first lady Ri Sol-ju vanishing from the public eye.
And it is being speculated that if the child is a boy it could well be the couple’s first – and possible future supreme leader.
Markus Bell, a North Korea expert based in Yangon, Myanmar told The Sun: “The secrecy surrounding reports of Ri’s pregnancy is nothing surprising for North Korea. The default mode for North Korea is poker-faced silence.
“One thing’s for sure, Kim and Ri will be keeping their fingers crossed for a boy this time – a future supreme leader to hand over the reins to in years to come.”
North Korea is infamously very secretive about the identities of the first famly.
Current leader Kim didn’t emerge in the public eye until 2010 – when he was thought to be aged 27.
Also, his wedding was never publicised and instead was just made reference to in 2012.
Rumours began to circulate that Ri Sol-ju was pregnant in 2012 when she appeared on state television wearing a traditional Korean dress.
South Korean media quickly picked up on an image at the time that it was claimed showed her in the late stages of pregnanty.
Intelligence reports suggested the couple had one child already, making 2012 the second pregnany.
