December 18 has been fixed as the new date for the initially El Clasico clash amongst Barcelona and True Madrid, following the selection to move the game from this Saturday.
Riots in Barcelona more than the previous two weeks, led to LaLiga requesting that the game be moved from Camp Nou to Santiago Bernabeu.
Each clubs kicked against the switch, which has led to the match becoming rescheduled, with a final contact on that date getting been created by the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
“The selection of the competitors committee has come right after analysing in current days the proposals of each clubs, which they invited to agree on a date and who agreed to signal on December 18 for the rescheduling of the postponed match,” an RFEF statement study.
Although each clubs recommended December 18 – a Wednesday – LaLiga is but to confirm whether or not that date will stand, provided their hope of showcasing the greatest match in the competitors to a wider audience.
