Maurizio Sarri believes Juventus wasted their probabilities in their 1-1 draw against Lecce but reassured fans more than Gonzalo Higuain.
The Bianconeri developed lots of possibilities but failed to convert them though Higuain was stretched off with a nasty head injury.
“Gonzalo is possessing stitches, then they’ll choose no matter whether to take him to the hospital. He is conscious, answering concerns in a clear way,” the coach told Sky Sport Italia.
“At the finish, we got ourselves get swept up in a battle that was not our style. We developed lots of scoring possibilities and didn’t take them, so there was a lack of determination and clinical edge. We also didn’t handle our lead nicely at all, so I didn’t like any of that.
“Cristiano Ronaldo was tired each physically and mentally, so it wouldn’t have helped him to make this journey and sit there. When a player expresses his fatigue, it was only ideal to give him a rest.
“The reality remains, we developed 10 scoring possibilities and didn’t finish them. I feel we took it a bit quick in our finishing and immediately after we took the lead, acting practically as if it was all-natural we’d win.
“I do not know if we had been superficial as such, but we weren’t as determined as we could’ve been. We shouldn’t feel that just since we make lots of probabilities, we’ll automatically score and win.”
For the third game in a row, Matthijs De Ligt has been involved in a handball incident, as he gave away the penalty that permitted Lecce to equalise.
“Seeing the incident from the bench right now, I feel it wasn’t specifically on goal. His arm was close to his physique and it took a deflection, but with the new guidelines, it is tricky for defenders to keep away from the ball.”
Miralem Pjanic limped off with a muscular difficulty, so who can fill in for the Bosnian?
“Bentancur has all the traits to play in that function. Definitely, he does not have the identical encounter as Pjanic, but he can have his say.
“Most of the targets we conceded have been on set plays, like penalties. We’re not permitting a lot to come via in open play, but we do have to have to be wary of the dangers in our box.
“There are so lots of games to go and points up for grabs, I feel searching at the table now would be not just futile, but also damaging.”
